Dearest fantastic friends,
We hope your summer is off to an extraordinary start!
As for the Mullet Marathoners – A.J., Bobby, Boyd, Clark, Eddie, Hank, Hunk, Kenny, Redford and the rest of the gang – we've been stretching, running and high-fiving as much as mulletly possible, as we gear up for a stupendous second-half of 2018.
Alas, we are writing to you today with some slightly hair-wrenching news: We will not be hosting a High Five 5K in 2018. Due to many factors – but mostly due to the births of several little baby mullets, plus Bobby and Kenny hitting the studio to record their long-awaited album "Hair Medal" – we've had to indefinitely postpone the event.
Sure, this is as close to a low-five as it gets. But, c'mon, we're not going anywhere. If you haven't heard, The Mullet Marathon is a way of life. It's a lifestyle dedicated to healthy living and inspiring others. Supporting great causes and going the extra mile. Letting your hair down and giving high fives.
We've been rockin', runnin' and rollin' for more than 15 years – and we've never believed in finish lines.
Will there be another race, event, party? Maybe. Hopefully. Probably. We're trying to figure that out. So stick with us on Facebook or Instagram and we'll keep you updated.
Know this: The words we need to describe our adoration, respect and appreciation for all of you who've wholeheartedly supported us over the years have yet to be invented. (But one probably rhymes with supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.) Your sense of humor, your passion for living, your incredible smiles and styles – you're just the best, and should never ever – EVER! – be left hangin'.
For those of you who think you're now without a 5K on Columbus Day Weekend Saturday – think again! Our friends at Family Continuity, who continue to do incredible work to support children and families across the great state of Massachusetts, will be hosting their own fundraising 5K – the Cape Cod for Kids 5K on Oct. 6 in Sandwich. For more information, please check out the following link: http://www.familycontinuity.org/5k.
In the meantime, if anyone wants to go for a run, or even just get in a good stretch, holler at your boys: [email protected].
Always up high,
The Mullet Marathoners
